THE BIGGEST RAILWAY MUSEUM
IN EUROPE IS IN MULHOUSE
Renewed, renovated and expanded, the Cité du Train has been presenting since 1971 the biggest collection of railway equipment in Continental Europe. Through more than a hundred locomotives, coaches and wagons, as well as many train station and railway pieces, discover the epic history of the railway in France, which dates back to more than a century and a half.
“The Platforms of History” retrace on 13,000 m² the chronological evolution of the railway technology, from the oldest steam locomotive in 1844 to the TGV Euroduplex in 2013.
