Renewed, renovated and expanded, the Cité du Train has been presenting since 1971 the biggest collection of railway equipment in Continental Europe. Through more than a hundred locomotives, coaches and wagons, as well as many train station and railway pieces, discover the epic history of the railway in France, which dates back to more than a century and a half.

In the spectacular atmosphere of a movie set of 6000 m², “The Show Circuit” presents 27 pieces of railway equipment, divided into 6 themes.

“The Platforms of History” retrace on 13,000 m² the chronological evolution of the railway technology, from the oldest steam locomotive in 1844 to the TGV Euroduplex in 2013.
the railway panorama
“The Railway Panorama”, an outdoor space of 15,000 m², presents temporary exhibitions of railway equipment and offers recreational railway activities.
